CBCS introduces On-Site Grading at Tampa Bay Comic Con!

CBCS will be conducting our first ever On-Site Grading at the Tampa Bay Comic Con August 5-7th.

If you choose to submit your books through “On-Site Grading,” your books will be hand-delivered to the graders, and your order will be expedited through the system. Orders will be returned to the Tampa Bay Comic Con, and customers will be contacted so they can pick up their graded books at the CBCS booth.

Submissions for On-Site Grading will be limited to a certain number of books per day, so submit your books as early as you can to ensure you’ll get your order in before the limit has been reached. Because of the grading and encapsulation time required for each book, CBCS will stop collecting On-Site submissions each day, once we've reached our maximum capacity. Please be aware that submissions on Sunday will be extremely limited and the cut-off could be very early in the day.

Orders submitted using our ON-LINE submission process are processed faster and can increase the probability that your submission meets the cut-off. We encourage you to use our On-Line submission form, which you will be directed to by clicking this text.

We are accepting early drop-offs (on a limited basis) starting Thursday, August 4th at the CBCS booth (#1111/1210) and at our facility during regular business hours). Our address is 2400 31st St. S. St. Petersburg, FL, 33712, but please call customer service at 727-803-6822, for appointments. We do not accept drop-in submissions without an appointment.

CBCS will be grading On-Site for all grading tiers and our Authentic Signature Program (ASP). Witnesses will be available for ASP books on a limited basis at the CBCS booth (#1111/1210) as part of the On-Site Grading service. Please stop by our booth prior to getting your comics signed as an Authorized Witness must be present when the autograph takes place. Books submitted for the Authorized Signature Program will cost an additional $10 per book.


 

 

  • Modern (comics valued under $250, 1975 – present) -- $25 / ASP $35
  • Expanded (comics valued under $250, pre-1975) -- $46 / ASP $56
  • Consumer (comics valued $400 or less)  -- $50 / ASP $60
  • 2-day Modern (comics valued $2,000 or less) -- $60 / ASP $70
  • Quickstream (comics valued $1,150 or less) -- $80 / ASP $90
  • Rapid (comics valued $4,000 or less) -- $135 / ASP $145
  • 1-Day (comics valued over $4,000) – 2.75% of Market Value
  • Original Art -- $30


Because of time constraints the following services are not being offered as part of the On-Site Grading service, Grade Screening, Imaging, Slide Show, and the Verified Signature Program.


*Please note that CBCS will make a good faith effort to have all orders available for pickup before the Tampa Bay Comic Con ends on Sunday. Any submission that cannot be delivered to our booth by the end of the show, for whatever reason, will be shipped to the customer’s home address via FedEx the following week, at the full expense of CBCS.
