Synopsis:Charley Halsted uses his powers to charm a guard and escape from jail with his cellmate and they go on an emotion-themed crime rampage. Unknown to Halstead, Big Mike wants revenge against the JSA and intends on using Halstead to accomplish it. Mike provides Johnny Thunder with a clue for the JSA to follow, as, unwittingly, Johnny's shoe picks up that clue in a wallet thrown to the ground by Mike. The JSA see the wallet and discover six emotion crimes being committed, and decide to follow them up. Halstead learns what Mike has done and reluctantly agrees to go along with the crimes.

Synopsis:As Yvonne DeSalle prepares to go on stage, a man uses the emotion of Pride on her, suggesting her performance may not be up to par, and asks for $10,000 to assure a good performance. Hawkman enters and starts beating up the thug when Halstead and his men enter, and a real melee occurs, with the Psycho-Pirate's men getting the worst of it. When Halstead uses Pride on the Hawk, he doesn't fall for it, and finishes his thugs off. The Police arrive and jail the criminals, and Miss LaSalle finishes her first act in style as Hawkman decides to look for his enemy who has eluded him.

Synopsis:Jim Handley is out west to find the mother-load with his partners, and one day finds the platinum he was looking for. But one of his partners, Ed Furnace, actually employed by Halstead, uses the emotion of Ambition on him, convincing him to put the others out of the way and take full possession of his find. Dr. Mid-Nite, it seems, can't convince Jim what is happening, so he lays a trap to expose the Psycho-Pirate's plot, which works perfectly, and the gang is rounded up and jailed, while Jim Handley learns that his partners have formed a platinum co-op and have made Jim its President!

Synopsis:For years, George Molon has been employed by Tippany and Company Jewelers, admired fine gems, but is always taken aback by the wealthy, who just view them as baubles for their pleasure. His friend Arnie James, in the employ of the Psycho-Pirate, uses the emotion of Envy on George, getting him to enter the homes of the wealthy to service their jewels, then steal them. G.L. tries to convince George of this plot, but he thinks the Lantern is a crook himself. But he finally proves his case, confront the villains, and, with George's help, captures the whole gang.

Synopsis:Eddie Morgan, a student scholar at Midwestern University, working on his doctorate on rare historical documents. Several of the Psycho-Pirate's thugs see him researching in the library, and intend to use the emotion of Curiosity to nab those rare materials. They work on Morgan, who has a pass key and knowledge of the location of these items, but the Atom steps in to stop the plot and the Atom marches the gang off to jail. Then he takes Eddie back to the dorm where they discover some documents planted there to implicate Morgan and return them.

Realizing he's not any good, the emotion of Humility is used on Stumble and push-over matches are set for Stumble. Oily signs Stumble to a match with the Champion, but he doesn't know the Champ's water will be drugged. Johnny tells the Champ and asks him to play along, his plan works, and the Thunderbolt grabs the crooks, as the Psycho-Pirate walks out, not believing that even Johnny Thunder could out smart him.

Synopsis:In Toller City, the surest way to get the Sheriff upset is to strew the courthouse steps with banana peels, and J. Newton-Rathbun, a self-appointed reformer, had just proved it. The Deputy had just arrested him, under an assumed name, Wurtles, for the crime and locked him up. Rathbun was now in the position of being able to get information firsthand on possible ill-treatment of prisoners by the Sheriff. But what Rathbun didn't know was the Judge and Sheriff staged everything to get the reformer off their backs!

Synopsis:In the Elite Laboratories, devoted to radio research, Dan Soames, is testing a device which doesn't work and he loses his temper and is ready to smash the device when his boos walks in and tells him to cool it. Citing all that he has accomplished for the lab and benefits he has received, including becoming a partner. But a Halstead mole uses the emotion of Anger on Dan, who blows up and begins destroying his work. The Flash arrives at the lab, and gets the mole to tell him Dan is on the way to Halstead to turn over an invention. Flash stops this, and captures the rest of Halstead's men.

Synopsis:The JSA members reconvene before the old Shelter Hotel, in which they may find their nemesis, and they come in from all directions. Brushing Big Mike aside like a flea, the JSA corners the Psycho-Pirate like the rat that he is. When Halstead asks how they found out where he was, the Atom pulls out the wallet that had been planted on the sidewalk by Big Mike that had the plans in it, and that had gotten stuck to Johnny's shoe. Inside was the address of the hotel! Johnny comes in and says, "What a stupid thing for Big Mike to do. Compared to that guy, I'm a genius!"
