CBCS Announces New Verified Signature Program

Do you have comics that were signed 50 years, 20 years, 2 years, or even one day ago? Can't get them certified? Well, now through CBCS, you can!

Comic Book Certification Service (CBCS), the new and already accepted grading company founded by Steve Borock that launched early this summer, is proud to announce the unveiling of a new service on August 21st, 2014 at the CHICAGO Wizard World convention. The new service is called the VERIFIED SIGNATURE PROGRAM (VSP), which allows people who have comic books that have been previously signed, have the signatures authenticated as genuine, and then certified without penalty.

This program is different than any other signature program in the industry because it does not rely on witnesses to be present when an autograph is placed on a comic book. The Signature Verification Program allows those collectors who have had comic books signed in the past without a witness present, have them certified without the concern of receiving a “qualified” or lower grade. CBCS can offer this program because they have partnered with CSA Comics, the top industry experts in signature analysis, who will authenticate each signature with their state of the art Characteristic Signature Matching (CSM) system. The books can then be encapsulated without the fear of a “qualified” grade or a reduction in the grade as was the case prior to the launch of this ground breaking service. The books will be encapsulated in CBCS’s state of the art protective case with the new red CBCS Verified Signature label indicating that the book contains signatures that were independently authenticated by our top industry experts.

CSA Comics, brings a unique spin to the autograph collecting industry. While there are authentication companies that authenticate signatures in a wide variety of collectible hobbies, CSA Comics makes it a priority to ONLY authenticate comic book creators’ signatures (this includes signatures of artists, writers, inkers and creators). This has allowed the staff at CSA Comics to have amassed a comic book signature library of over 10,000 signatures! By focusing all their experience and efforts in comic book signature authentication, they provide the highest levels of quality and service in the business.
