Comiclink Adds Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 9.4 To Fall Featured Auction

 

The latest and greatest addition to the growing Fall Featured Auction preview is a Journey Into Mystery #83 in CGC Near Mint 9.4 condition. This example last sold in February of 2014 for $275,000. That we have not sold another since is not too surprising, considering there are a mere seven of them in the world in this condition. The issue, published in August of 1962 at the dawn of the Silver Age of Marvel Comics, introduces Thor, a founding member of the Avengers. A fantastic new addition to the auction on the art side, is Bernie Wrightson's miraculously detailed original art plate of "Frankenstein's Monster" published in The Lost Frankenstein Pages. The Featured Auction commencing on November 17th will include some of the best certified comic books and related original artwork in the world, with highlights spanning the eras and the genres.
